Sunday Stills....Potluck....Mustangs

This weeks challenge was pretty much left up to us....go out and shoot something interesting and fun.

Well I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the BLM Adoption in Asheville.  So I figure it qualifies!

They had roughly 80 horses up for adoption.  I would love to have been able to take one or two home, but alas I have no place for them.  Maybe one of these days.

I really like the 3rd photo! I bet it was hard to leave the adoption empty handed.

Beautiful horses! And very lovely photos of them too.

Awww, so sad. They all have such a lost look to them as if they feel out of place. And their eyes speak volumes...trying to look brave and tough, yet so afraid.
You captured them all beautifully. The dun is my favorite too. That's the only one with softer, more open-minded eyes. Bet that one sold quickly.

My fave pic is the group shot in sepia. Nice job!

Lovely shots, but so very sad. I hope they all get adopted.

I expected to see more fear in their eyes, but only see that in the first two pictures. I think they get some comfort from the other horses in the other pictures. Great shots!

These are really nicely done Colleen. Very expressive and beautiful composed.

Beautiful photos Colleen. The horse on the left in the third photo caught my heart. In the 4th photo you can see that it is a smoky black, it's just like my mare that I had to put down because of a broken leg 6 years ago.

oh, they are beautiful. yes, I love the buckskin too, especially the black and white one. I like the other black and white shot also - seems to be like an old western look.

That buckskin is beautiful, all looks so sad and lost though. I hope they find loving homes soon.
