Day Four Post Op

Well, I seem to be doing okay. I am tolerating the liquids I'm drinking and have no nausea to speak of yet.  The worst part for me is the gas.  They blow up your belly and that stuff has to come out somewhere, but mine has yet to find an outlet.  It rumbles around in there like some pissed of dragon, scaring the cat out of my lap and waking me up at night.

I go on Wednesday to get my drain tube taken out so hopefully that will help some with the getting around. I'm worried I'll catch it on something or the kids will hit it by accident.  I'm doing my best to stay motivated.  After all I've been through to get this surgery I want to see results and I will admit to being a tad impatient on that.  I'm still swollen and sore so I can't get any exercise in other than walking around the house.

My IV site is a plethora of colors pretty sure brought on by the heparin I was given 3 times a day for blood clots... the picture doesn't really do it justice, it's about the size of a kiwi...

I had just stopped by your site and I wanted to say hey. I am also looking to have gastric bypass some time soon.

Hurricane Colleen! You go girl!

Give yourself time to heal. Don't think too far ahead. You WILL succeed!
