Stockton Holler

Went for a hike today in Stockton Holler, an old homestead from way back when. The house is long gone, but part of the barn remains.
Part of the spring for water lurks in here
as well as a coyote den.
Not gonna go in there.
Here's a back view of the "barn"
The front view... I never knew there was stuff
way back in the woods like this.
I can only imagine what's living in it.
Dead pine tree, some sort of beetle is
killing alot of them in the area.

The way we came. Old road, not too passible.

Gotta love a man with big tools.

Grandmas outhouse still standing

As is the barn.

While we were there Kitty decided to come out and see what's up.

Cool hike to that old barn! Love that grandma's old outhouse, too. What's inside it?

Hmm..maybe I don't want to know. lol!

That old road looks like it'd make a nice trail path to ride horses. :)

How cool.......the photos are great. Love that outhouse....=) And the barn is amazing!

No woods to walk through here, we do have an old mining ghost town that is not to far from our place. Not much left, but it might make for an interesting post.

There are lots of places to trail ride here and I hope one day to get back to having horses. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be lucky enough to be one of those women who turn 40 and get horses again.
As for the outhouse, I don't really want to know what's in there either..lol
