I'm Home

Well I made it through surgery.  It went great the Dr said and I now have re-routed plumbing.  My stay in the hospital was good, I had a bunch of wonderful people taking care of me, especially Kaye, she was just the best nurse ever.

I have to make sure I get enough fluids as the most common side effect of the surgery is dehydration.  I have a little check list that will help me keep track of what I drink.  Being able to sleep in my own bed and not be woken up every 2 hours was wonderul, having my kitty snuggle up behind my knees made me feel at home.

I was quite sore this morning so off to the medicine cabinet I went for pain meds.  I get my drain taken out on Wed. and figure I will feel even better after that as I won't have to worry about my boys accidentally catching it on themselves.

I almost can't even believe I went through with it.  Still scared as to the outcome and hopefully I will do what I'm supposed to and the weight will come off for good this time.  It is quite amazing to me that I haven't been hungry once since I woke up.

Will keep you posted!

Hooray for you! Keep taking your pain meds and stay hydrated and you will feel decent. Once that drain is out you will feel a huge difference! I'm so happy for you that surgery went well. Cant wait for another update!
