How It's Going..

I've been watching what I eat and doing some light exercise to start and it's been going pretty good.  I've lost 7 of the 13 lbs I need to.  I've been trying not to get too wrapped up in what I'm doing, no fanatical thoughts of doing it wrong or guilt weighing me down.

I've tried a few protein products that aren't so bad, as I will be consuming a fair amount of that stuff for the first few months out of surgery.  Greek yogurt, Unjury protein mix, Balance bars and the such.  Not too bad if I do say so.

My sleep test is over and they are supposed to send the results to my Dr today but I'm not sure when I will hear how it went.  I know it made for a rotten nights sleep trying to turn over and make sure I didn't knock off the finger sensor or turn off the machine, not to mention the bright blinking "beacon" of lights that it put out all night.  For a light sleeper that spells crappy nights sleep.

I go for my psych eval on the 27th.....will keep ya posted.

Good for you! I could use a loss of 7 lbs right about now, too. But really...more like 20 or 30! It's so hard!
I'm glad the sleep test is over, too.
Could you have thrown a towel or shirt over the blinking lights? I sleep with my laptop either on the bed or beside the bed and the lights annoy me, too. I just cover them up with a towel.

Good luck with the psych eval!

By the way, consider taking photographs of yourself during this amazing journey. It will be an ongoing record of all that your going through to achieve your goals, and also give you the visuals you need to see the progress you're making and, in the end, seeing how far you've come.

With your talents, you could try taking creative shots with unusual angles and backgrounds, etc, too.
