Molly's Gone....

It has been a rough couple of days here.  Molly is gone.  I last saw her about 4pm on Tuesday, running over to mawmaw's to sniff around.  She hasn't been seen since.  DH went Wednesday and looked for over 2 hours, all over the mountain and around her usual places.  No sign, nothing.  We thought maybe she got hit by a car, no body, no hair, no blood. Anywhere.  It's as if she just disappeared.  We've come to the conclusion that someone must have taken her.  Some have tried before, but my MIL was around and told them she was ours.

We live in a fairly rural area with not many neighbors and no animal control to speak of, so we don't think it was someone thinking they were doing a good deed.  Our road is used alot as a short cut to other towns and lots of people drive by us.   She was a beautiful dog and maybe that worked against us.  I hope that if that is what happened they give her a good home and treat her like family.  That's what she was to us.  My oldest is heartbroken and can't understand why someone would do that.  I didn't know what to say.  I just held him as he cried.  It just broke my heart.

Here's hoping that maybe we were wrong and she just decided to go on a little trip and will be home soon.  She will always be welcome with open arms and lots of love.  We miss you Molly. Come home soon.

It has a beautiful red eye...so contrasting with his white fur.

Oh man, that sucks!!! I hope she will return to you soon. I worry about that happening to my mom's dog Maggie all the time, but she has a thing for taking field trips, and spending a couple of days at friends houses in the valley..:-))

I do hope that Molly finds her way back to you! She showed up one day and found a good home with you and really found a place in your heart as well. I hope she is safe and returns to you soon!

Oh, Colleen, I've been so caught up in my own trauma I didn't even see your post about sweet Molly!

Our friends with a large ranch lost their JRT Peewee for a month, then someone called that had found her on the highway and had taken her back with them to a city 300 miles away. Because she didn't have a collar and tags it took them that long to find the owner.

I will say a prayer that something similar has happened to her and that it will only be a matter of time before Molly is home again with you and your family.

My heart is aching for you, and I pray that she finds her way home soon. A loss of a dear pet is devastating, I know. :(

Oh no! I'm crying for you and for sweet Molly, too. You just did that beautiful post about Molly for last week's Sunday Stills, too!

Please forgive me for missing this post. I've been without a car for 3 weeks and hubby hasn't been around since last month to fix anything. And now my computer is acting up. I think it's my AC/DC battery charger cord. bah!

Anyway, enough of my boring troubles. I'm so worried about your beautiful girl.

We had a GSD that was stolen from us when she got scared and jumped our fence during July 4th about 15 years ago when we lived in South Carolina.

She was missing for 2 weeks! And then one day, my hubby took a different way to work and saw our dog in the back of someone's SUV. He knew it was her because she had huge bunny ears. He chased that car down and honked at those people until they pulled over. He yelled that they had his dog. They claimed they didn't know she belonged to anyone, even though they obviously removed her collar with her ID.
They didn't cause any fuss, though and gave our dog back to us, and then complained that our dog had refused to eat in over a week and had seemed lame and only wanted to be left alone.

Well, yeh! She needed the medication for her hip dysplasia and she was probably depressed and wanted to go back to her family. bah!

I hope your Molly is returned to you and that she comes home soon. I will say a prayer for that to happen tonight, my friend.
